THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Wednesday, June 29, 2005.

Carolyn Anderson, 60, of Cape Fair, Mo., died on Sunday, June 26. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m., Friday, July 1, in St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Ames.

Carolyn Anderson was born Aug. 31, 1944, in Centerville, the daughter of Frank and Pauline Kuchan. After marrying, she lived in Ames for 30 years. While in Ames, she was employed by the zoology department at Iowa State University prior to her retirement in 2003. She enjoyed her family, especially her only grandchild, Eric; reading, traveling, gardening and craft shows.

Survivors include Robert Anderson, her husband of 37 years, their two sons, Monte of Lancaster, Pa., and Ryan, stationed in Sri Lanka; her sister, Barbara Brandt of Mystic; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Cremation was under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home-South, Kimberling City, Mo.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
