Miller Funeral Services Tuesday

Special to the Journal.
Maxwell, Nov. 20--The funeral services for S. J. Miller who passed away at Silver Lake, Wis., Sunday morning, were held at the Presbyterian church Tuesday at 2:30 with Rev. H. D. Robinson of Bondurant in charge. Music was furnished by a male quartet composed of Ross Olinger, Clair Olinger, Clark John and Dale John, with Mrs. Hubert Larsen at the piano. The song were "Abide With Me," "Old Rugged Cross" and "Rock of Ages." The pall bearers were Geo. Cole, Major Dunahoo, Irving Kirk, C. B. French, Van Johnson and O. F. Strombeck. Burial was in the Maxwell cemetery.

Mr. Miller was born in the Province of Ontario, Canada, Oct. 23, 1845 and departed this life Nov. 17, 1935 at his home in Silver Lake, Wis. He came to Iowa in 1855. Dec. 20, 1877 he was united in marriage to Miss Rose Hall. To this union five children were born, all of whom survive with the mother. The children are Mrs. H. W. Cole, Perry; Mrs. Fred Klove, Kenosha, Wis.; Mrs. Marguerette Rasmussen, South Dakota; B. H. and D. A. Miller of Sturgis, Mich., all of whom were able to attend the services except Mrs. Rasmussen.
