Applegate Was Native Son of Nevada Community

Wilbern Arthur Applegate [should be Appelgate], funeral services for whom were held at the Bishop Funeral home, Monday afternoon, was born near Nevada, August 2, 1873, the eldest son of Deloss and Eva Applegate [should be Appelgate.]

He was united in marriage to Bessie Hankins, June 15, 1898 and to this union one son was born, Kenneth Wood Applegate, who lived in the west.

Mr. Applegate had been associated with the Kansas Milling Co. at Harper and Wichita, Kansas for about fifteen years.

He had been in poor health for some time and passed away in the Wesley hospital at Wichita of Friday, July 19.

He leaves besides his son, his mother, Mrs. Eva Applegate and two brothers, V. I. Applegate of Nevada and G. I. Applegate of Northwood, and one sister Mrs. D. H. Banks of Tipton.
