Rev. W. T. Dawson Buried at Collins

Collins, July 18--Rev. W. T. Dawson, 73, of Minneapolis, was buried in Evergreen cemetery at Collins, Tuesday afternoon. Mr. Dawson died on Friday following and operation for colon trouble at a hospital in that city. He was well known to Collins people having made his home here as a young man and later as pastor of the U. B. churches at Dalton and Willow Creek, leaving these charges for one at the Castle Memorial church in Des Moines.

He was married Dec. 5, 1882 to Elvira L. Evans, who passed away March 24, 1892. To this union four sons were born. He is survived by his wife of a later marriage, his sons Eddy Eugene of Cheyenne, Wyo., John of Ogden, Ia., George of St. Paul, Ray of Des Moines, also a step-daughter living in California. A sister Mrs. Arrabelle Dodd of Michigan and a brother Robert Dawson of Arkansas also survive him. He had made his home for a number of years in California coming back to Iowa four years ago. The past year he and his wife had been making their home in Minneapolis where he passed away Rev. Geo. Cornford had charge of the short burial services held at the cemetery.
