THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Monday, June 27, 2005.

Irvin "Pete" Simonson, 96, formerly of Slater, died Sunday, June 26, at Madrid Home in Madrid. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 29, at Bethlehem Church Cemetery in Slater with with the Rev. Heidi Williams officiating.

He had lived at Ballard Creek since 1998 before moving to the Madrid Home two weeks ago.

He is survived by two nieces and two nephews.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 28, at Soderstrum-Riis Funeral Home in Slater.
