THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Thursday, June 23, 2005.

Ricky L. Chelsvig, 46, of Story City, died Wednesday, June 22, at his home. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 25, at St. Petri Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Story City Cemetery.

Ricky L. Celsvig was born June 13, 1959, in Story City to Irene and Dale (Menage) Chelsvig. He graduated from Roland-Story High School in 1978. He worked at 3M in Ames for 26 years. He liked hunting, fishing and all animals.

He is survived by his mother, Irene of Story City; two sons, Joe Chelsvig (Kimberly) and Chad Chelsvig and his friend, Kara, of Story City; three grandsons, Benjamin, Dawson and Christian; one brother, Michael (Chere) of Adel; three sisters, Patty VanPatter (Charles), Judy Watson (Tim) and Cindy Osmundson (Larry), all of Story City; eight nieces and four grand-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dale; and one brother, Richard.
