Robison Funeral at Nevada Methodist Church on Thursday

Funeral services for Mrs. George G. Robison, who died at her home at 836 Lincoln avenue, Nevada, Tuesday at 10:30 a. m., were held at the Methodist Episcopal church Thursday afternoon with he pastor Rev. C. D. Loose in charge.

Following the services here the body was taken to Iowa Center cemetery for interment.

Sarah Alice Gregory, daughter of Benjamin and Indiana S. Gregory, was born at Palmyra, Warren county, Iowa, on May 25, 1857.

Her childhood was spent at Palmyra, later moving with her parents to Indianola where she graduated from Simpson Seminary after which she taught school for several years.

She was married to George G. Robison, member of one of Story County's oldest families, on March 13, 1879. To this union was born one son, Ross, who died in infancy and three daughters, who with the devoted husband, still survive her. The daughters are Mrs. Claudia B. Bronson of Council Bluffs, Cornea now Mrs. O. A. Cerwinske of Charles City, Georgrianna, now Mrs. Thomas J. Hemstock of Nevada.

She is also survived by six grandchildren, three great grandchildren and by one niece and three nephews. Her parents and two sister preceded her in death.

Mrs. Robinson and her husband have lived their entire married life in and near Nevada with the exception of 14 years spent in Charles City. It was in this latter city they celebrated their Golden Wedding anniversary before returning to Nevada six years ago.

Upon returning to Nevada the family established the home at 836 Lincoln avenue where Mrs. Robison passed away, after several months illness, Tuesday morning at 10:30, surrounded by the three daughters and the husband with whom she had lived 56 years.

Mrs. Robison had been a life long member of the Methodist church and faithful in attendance at its services until failing health made attendance impossible.

She was a woman especially devoted to her home and family, whose interests, with her church was foremost in her mind.

She also was a kind neighbor and friend and as is testified by her continued interest in them even during her failing health and invalidism.

Relatives from a distance who were here for the service were Mr. and Mrs. O. A. Cerwinski and sons Joe and Sheldon of Charles City, Mrs. Claudia Bronson, Forrest Bronson, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Bronson and George Bronson of Council Bluffs, Mr. and Mrs. H. F. Elias of Omaha, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Schuler of Indianola, Mrs. Charles Dyke of Indianola, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Mize of Ames and Mrs. Chester Demaray of Floyd.
