Funeral Services for Jennings Erickson

Special to the Journal.
Kelley, Jan. 30--Funeral services for Jennings B. Erickson, 29, former Kelley boy was held at the Bethany Lutheran church Thursday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock, the Rev. Rorem in charge; with burial in the Lutheran cemetery. Music was furnished by the Lutheran choir, with a special solo, "A Perfect Day" by Lovell Craig. Other numbers were "The Old Rugged cross" and "It is Well with My Soul."

Mr. Erickson died of Tuberculosis, at Sunny Crest sanitarium at Dubuque Monday evening, where he had been for about a month.

He was born at Kelley Feb. 27, 1905 where he grew to manhood. A few years ago he moved with his father and family to Ames where they had since resided. He graduated from the consolidated school here with the first class in 1922. For several years he had been employed by the Iowa Vegetable Growers association as inspector for the middle west.

He leaves his father, E. J. Erickson, of Ames, two sisters Mrs. Harvey Anderson of Ames and Miss Opal Erickson of Des Moines, and two brothers Otis and Arnold also of Ames. Besides these immediate relatives, a host of other relatives and many friends.
