Funeral Services for Mrs. Laycock at Pontiac, Illinois

Mrs. Adelia Laycock, 832 South Locust street, Pontiac, Ill., passed away at six o'clock, Jan. 16th, 1935 at St. James hospital in Pontiac, Ill., following an illness of fourteen weeks.

Funeral services were held at one o'clock Saturday afternoon from the Harper & Roth funeral home, 315 West Howard street. Services were conducted by Rev. Charles Wunsch, assisted by Rev. A. H. Smith. Burial was in the Payne cemetery near Chenoa.

Mrs. Laycock as Miss Adelia Myer was born in Allghany county, Md. November 17, 1859, the daughter of Martin H. and Susannah (Chaney) Myer. At the age of three years she moved with her parents to Eppards Point township, Livingston county, Illinois, where she grew to young womanhood, receiving her education in the schools of that township.

She was married to Levi Laycock of Eppards Point township, on December 27, 1881. The family home was first established in Illinois and in 1888 in Kansas. In 1894 they moved to Iowa and in 1911, following Mr. Laycock's death, Mrs. Laycock moved to Pontiac, which had since been her home.

Mrs. Laycock is survived by one brother, W. T. S. Myer, of Eppards Point township. Her husband preceded her in death in 1911, her father 1872, her mother, April 5, 1910, and a brother, E. B. Myer, March 26, 1921.

Mrs. Laycock was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church.

The pallbearers, cousins of the deceased, were Edward, Joseph, Eugene, Harry and Debird Myer and Paul Dillon.
