MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Iowa, Thursday, July 16, 1903, page 1. "OBITUARY - Mary Elizabeth Hall was born near Mitchellville, Iowa, on April 18, 1855. She was one of a family of twelve. Her father was Henry Hall and her mother Dianna Hall. Mother Hall died in June, 1890, and Father Hall, now eighty-seven years of age, awaits his call home. Three of her brothers died in childhood and one brother and sister in middle life. She now has three brothers who survive her, J. M. and J. T. of Collins, and Andrew, of Cory Grove, who today cares for Father Hall. Her living sisters are Mrs. Nancy Kenney and Mrs. Amanda Matthews, of Bondurant, and Mrs. Emma Randall, of Collins. She was married to William H. Warrell at Nevada, Iowa, September 9, 1872. To them were born three children, Henry, who now lives in Maxwell, Maude, who lives south of Collins, and Luella at home. She has lived at Collins and surrounding neighborhood all of her life, excepting one year which they spent in Oklahoma, and was well known to a large circle of friends. She was taken sick two years ago in May, while in Oklahoma, and has since made a heroic fight for her life. She was hopeful and cheerful to the end, but her disease made steady progress and on Sunday, July 12, 1903, she yielded to tired nature's call and fell asleep, aged forty-eight years, two months and fifteen days. She was converted at the age of about sixteen years and joined the M. E. church at Fairview school house, near Bondurant. Her's was a bright christian experience and a worthy life. At prayer meeting a few weeks ago she gave glad testimony to her faith and hope. Of the large circle of relatives enumerated, nearly all were present at the funeral, and now receive the united sympathy of the community. A daughter kind, a sister beloved, a mother faithful and true, a wife loved and loving and a friend cherished by many, has entered her reward. May our last end be like hers, "Death is swallowed up in victory." The funeral was held from Collins M. E. church at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 14, 1903, conducted by Rev. D. P. Abbey, who preached a very able sermon, assisted by Revs. Barker and Burton. The interment was in the Collins cemetery."
