Former Neva Woman Brought Here for Interment

The body of Mrs. Hannah Belle Smith, 57, who died in Des Moines, was brought to Nevada and laid to rest the local cemetery Thursday afternoon, after funeral services had been held at the Harbach Funeral home in Des Moines.

Mrs. Smith had lived in Nevada in an earlier day and was known here as the wife of Lyman Weidner, son of a pioneer family. The husband was a brother of Mrs. Mary Knudson of southwest of Nevada.

Mrs. Smith, who died at her home 3523 Columbia avenue, Des Moines, had been a resident of that city for twenty years. She was born at Greenville, Ohio, and came to Iowa in 1902, settling first at Greenfield. Later she lived at Sigourney. Married first to Lyman Weidner, following his death about 25 years ago, she married to Z. N. Smith, who survives her. She also leaves two daughters, Dorothy Weidner and Mrs. Mary Louise Ratcliffe and a son David Smith, all of Des Moines. She also leaves 3 sisters, and 2 brothers.

She was a member of the Highland Park Presbyterian church and the O. E. S. in Des Moines.
