Slater, July 9--Funeral services for Hans Klonglan were held Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the home and 3:00 o'clock at the Hauges Free church. The services were in charge of his pastor, Rev. A. Knutson. Mrs. E. C. Rood and Miss Lillian Sydness had charge of the beautiful floral offerings.

A duet, "I Know of a Sleep in Jesus Name" was sung by Mrs. Myrtle Carlson and Miss Esther Sydness. Rev. G. C. Swain sang "One Day." "There Will Be Gloy" was sung by Mrs. Myrtle Carlson and Miss Esther Sydness.

The pall bearers were: Lawnie, Everett, Kenneth, Glenn and La Verne Klonglan and Lester Ryen.

Hans Klonglan, son of Lars and Ceceille Klonglan was born March 24th, 1870 and passed away Tuesday, July 3, 1934 at his home, reaching the age of 64 years, 3 months and 9 days. He was born on a farm four and a half miles south of Slater. With his parents he later moved to a farm two and a half miles southeast of Slater.

His marriage to Miss Anna Olson of Ames took place November 30th, 1905. Seven children were born to this union. They made their home on the farm until in the spring of 1932, when they moved to Slater.

Mr. Klonglan had been in ill health for a number of years and was bedfast the past five weeks.

He was a devoted husband and father. He leaves to mourn his loss, his wife and seven children, Leonard Klonglan of Madrid, Miss Marie Klonglan of Minneapolis, Bernie Klonglan of Nevada, Oscar, Misses Hazel, Dora and Helen of Slater; two grand children, one brother, Charley Klonglan of Sheldahl; two sisters, Mrs. John Fladebo of Millboro, S. D., and Mrs. George Olson of Hayfield, Minn., and a host of relatives and friends.
