Rites in Des Moines For Mary Ellen McKee

Mary Ellen McKee Pierce, age 83 years, passed away Thursday morning, May 26 at the Plaza Hotel in Des Moines where she had been residing for the past several months since closing her home in Cambridge which she recently purchased.

The Rosary service was held on Friday evening in Des Moines. Funeral services at Mason City on Saturday, burial at Clear Lake by the side of her husband Ed Pierce who passed away 15 years ago. Mrs. Pierce is the last of the McKee family of seven children.

She is survived by one son, Dr. Leo Pierce of Los Angeles, Calif., a granddaughter, Mrs. Rene Graef of La Chaux-da-Ford, Switzerland, and several nieces, one of whom is Mrs. Alice Bullard of Cambridge. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Leurs of Des Moines and Mrs. Alice Bullard attended the services at Mason City.
