POPULAR ZEARING WOMAN IS DEAD
MRS. ETNA MOORE DIED FRIDAY AND WILL BE BURIED MONDAY

Zearing, Jan. 13--Mrs. E. F. Moore, 68, died at her home there Friday at 2:30 p. m. following an illness of several months duration. Mrs. Moore's troubles began when she was injured in a fall the day following the celebration of their fiftieth wedding anniversary on April 9, 1932 and she had been bedfast since September last.The deceased, whose maiden name was Martha Miller, was a daughter of pioneers Jacob and Harriett Miller, born in the Union neighborhood in Hardin county, July 13, 1866.
There she grew to young womanhood and was married to Etna P. Moore April 9, 1882. They continued their home in that neighborhood until 1892 when they located on a farm north of Zearing and continued to reside there until 1912 when they retired from active farm life and moved into Zearing.
Ten children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Moore. One of them died in infancy and one son, Verne Roy, died when 23 years of age. Those surviving are the daughters, Mrs. Elsie Bailey, Mrs. Nellie Manning and Mrs. Pearl Lutz all of near Zearing, and Mrs. Iva Rosen of Marshalltown; while the sons are Lester of Winnebago, Minn., Maynard of Bedford, Howard of St. Louis, Ill. and Lee of Zearing. She also leaves 22 grandchildren, 5 brothers and 2 sisters.
During her entire life she had been associated with the work in Church of Christ. She was also a charter member of the Royal Neighbors, active in the Rebekah lodge and was a member of the local W. C. T. U., Cemetery society and other civic organizations.
The funeral will be held Monday afternoon at 2:00 at the Church of Christ and burial will be in charge of the service, assisted by Rev. Claypool of the Evangelical church.
