Funeral services for Mrs. Laura Lint, 82, who died on Easter Sunday in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Fred Brown in Des Moines, were held here on Wednesday afternoon at the Presbyterian church, with her pastor, Rev. David S. deBest in charge. Many friends and old time neighbors gathered at the church with the family and other relatives to pay a last respect. Mrs. Ray Gooden sand "The Way of the Cross Leads Home" and "Shall We Gather at the River." The floral tributes were very beautiful and profuse. Pallbearers were Harley Minear, H. E. Alverson, George Cole, W. A. Gibson, Roy Davis and Harry Kono.Laura Alvira Ozmun was born to Nelson and Eliza Ozmun, Nov 22, 1861, near Peoria, Iowa. On May 11th, 1879 she was united in marriage to Levi D. Lint of Mingo, Ia. To this union four children were born Lillian, Lloyd, Leigh and Laura Andra. They came to Maxwell in April, 1885. She joined the Presbyterian church and was a faithful member during her lifetime.
She passed away April 9th at the age of 82 years and leaves to mourn her passing her daughter, Mrs. Fred Brown of Des Moines, Ia., her son Leigh of Osage, Ia., daughter Laura Audra and eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren, three grandsons nd two great-grandsons are in service. One granddaughter and three grandsons and one great-great-grandson were not able to be present.
She was a devoted mother and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Her husband and son Lloyd preceded her in death.
Attending from a distance were Mr. and Mrs. Charles Brown, Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Brown and daughter Goldie of Des Moines; Mr. and Mrs. Martin Flanagan and family of Waterloo, Jimmie Flanagan of the U. S. Army in Tenn.; her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Clara Lint of Anamosa and son Woodrow Lint of Manchester; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Kono and Mrs. Fay Kono of Colfax and Mr. and Mrs. Jay Kono of Newton.
