Funeral service Held For Paul E. Swanson

MAXWELL -- Funeral services for Paul Everett Swanson 47, who died Thursday night, October 14 of a heart attack, were held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Maxwell Presbyterian church. Rev. H. W. Dickerson officiated. Interment was in the Maxwell cemetery.

Casket bearers were Paul Curtis, Earnie Travis, Dan Peters, Wayne Sherman, Russell Schultz and Chuck Ostrich.

Music was furnished by Ina Larsen.

Floral tributes were cared for by Gladys Peters and Madeline Summitt.

Obituary

Paul Everett Swanson was born January 14, 1907 a son of Edward Carl Swanson and Clara Fogue [should be Fog] at Clear Lake. He attended school at Clear Lake and Garner. The Swanson family have been residents of this community since November 1944.

He was united in marriage to Blanche Oelke, May 3, 1934 at Galena, Ill. He was a member of the Presbyterian church, Herald Masonic Lodge and Maxwell Business Men's club.

He is survived by his wife, Blanche, two daughters, Mrs. John Casey of Tripoli and Mrs. Allen Anderson of Manhatten, Kansas, two son, Robert and Paul at home. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Dean and his father.

Those attending services from a distance were his mother, Mrs. Clara Shields, two sisters, Mrs. Don Henn of Mason City and Mrs. Roland Bacon of Danville, Va., his father-in-law of Monona; two grandsons, Richard and Gregory Casey and other relatives.
