John W. Alderman Laid To Rest In Iowa Center Cemetery

Funeral services for John Alderman who died October 19 were held at the Cooper funeral home in Maxwell Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Rev. C. E. Lookingbill of Nevada officiating.

Alice Gooden and Madeline Summitt furnished the music. Casket bearers were Ole Hulderson, Roy Hennick, J. E. Ward, A. E. Morgan, John Perzell and Ray Hennick.

Interment was in the Iowa Center cemetery.

Obituary

John W. Alderman, son of Wm. and Elvina [should be Lovina] Alderman was born April 8, 1876 in Iowa Center and has lived his entire life in Iowa. His father passed away when he was four years old and he cared for his mother until the year 1914 when she passed away. He made his home with his brother, Charley and wife in Nevada for several years, then moved to Maxwell where he had resided since. Never being married, he is the last one of the immediate family of five children He was 78 years, six months and four days old. One sister-in-law, Ida Alderman and a number of cousins survive.
