Services Held For Frank Harrison At Christian Tabernacle

Funeral services for Frank K. Harrison were held from the Nevada Christian Tabernacle Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 p. m. with the Rev. Leonard Franz officiating.

Mrs. Harry Sutherland sang two songs "Ivory Palaces" and "I Won't Have to Cross Jordan Alone," accompanied by Mrs. Leonard Franz at the organ.

The casket bearers were Richard Harrison, Orval Harrison, Glen Mallory, Harlan Nerness, Robert Nerness and Francis Thompson.

Burial was made in the Cambridge cemetery.

Obituary

Frank K. Harrison, son of Henry James and Mary Jane Harrison, was born on a farm near Cambridge, April 23, 1877. He died at the Story County Hospital in Nevada Saturday, Sept. 13 at the age of 81 years, four months and 20 days.

His entire life was lived in Story county. His schooling was received in the Jefferson School District, where he also attended church. He was engaged in farming, and also was employed at Iowa State College.

On Aug. 10, 1898, he was united in marriage to Lou Bessie Hanks. To this union was born four daughters and three sons, Edna, Clyde, Mable, Clint, Bessie and Eldon. The wife, baby daughter and sons Clyde and Clint, preceded him in death.

On March 29, 1929, he was married to Gertrude Millsap. To this union a daughter Nadine was born.

He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife Gertrude, daughters Edna, Mable, Bessie and Nadine and son Eldon. Also a stepson, Charles Eugene Millsap, of Phoenix, Ariz., 16 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, four sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Buell, Des Moines, Mrs. Blanche Allen, Maxwell, Mrs. Maude Lee and Mrs. Queene Buland of Cambridge; three brothers, Walter of Prairie City, Ray of Des Moines, and Harry of Cambridge, and a host of other relatives and friends.
