THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Iowa, Thursday, December 3, 1900, page 5, column 3. "Mrs. W. J. Veneman was called to Des Moines last Saturday by the death of her sister, Mrs. Geo. Tanner, who has been sick a number of years with dropsy. The funeral services were held Monday, and Mrs. Veneman returned home Tuesday."
