THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Story County, Iowa, Thursday, August 26, 1926, page 1, column 5. "DEATH OF MRS. J. SUTHERLAND. - Milton Boster, of this city, received word Saturday telling him of the death of his sister, Mrs. A. J. Sutherland, who passed away at her home in Whittier, Calif., Friday morning at 11 o'clock, following a stroke of apoplexy. Mr. and Mrs. Sutherland lived for a number of years on the farm now occupied by the A. L. Borts family, northwest of this city, before moving to California several years ago. Mrs. Sutherland is survived by her husband and two children."
