DEATHS

H. G. DUELAND

Funeral services for Hans Gilbert Dueland, 79, were held at Evangelical Lutheran Church at Eagle Grove Tuesday at 1 p.m. Pastor W. Schiller based his meditation on Psalm 27.

Mrs. Warren Scholten accompanied Fred Nesheim when he sang, "How Great Thou Art" and "O Happy Day," and the congregation hymn, "Beautiful Savior."

Pallbearers were Roy Chelsvig, John Webbink, Warrent Scholten, Elmer Ryerson, Richard Halverson and Leonard Dueland.

Graveside services were held at the Fjeldberg Cemetery at Huxley at 3:30 p.m.

Hans Gilbert Dueland was born at Quick County, Nebr. March 6, 1894 to parents Nels and Anna Dueland.

He grew up in the Huxley community and was married to Mabel Kalsem of Huxley.

They farmed at Jewell, Crystal Lake and Joice. Mr. Dueland died at Trinity West Hospital at Ft. Dodge Saturday, Nov. 3.

For the past several years, Mr. Dueland made his home with his daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. John Stole.

He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth Sandven (Gwendolyn) of Eagle Grove, Mrs. John Stole (Catherine) of Deer River, Minn. and a sister Carrie Charlson, Ames, and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mabel, 25 years ago. Also his parents, two brothers, Chester and Tollef, and a sister, Nellie Ogland.
