MRS. BETSY BORN

Mrs. Betsy Born, 85, who has lived the past two and half years in North Grand Care Center in Ames, died Thursday morning.

Born July 8, 1888 in Story City to Helge and Anna Halleland, she is survived by one daughter, Mrs. John J. (Marietta) Adams of Ames; three sisters, Mrs. Lumer (Agnes) Olsan of Springfield, Illinois, Mrs. Elmer (Hildreth) Moore of Webster City and Mrs. Thora Jacobson of Story City; one brother, Herbert J. Halleland of Randall; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.

She was married to Dr. A. L. Born on December 25, 1913, who preceded her in death in October 16, 1943. Also preceding her in death were her parents, and one brother.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at St. Petri Lutheran Church in Story City with Rev. Rhuben O. Aga presiding. Burial will be in the Story City Municipal Cemetery.

Soderstrum-Larson Funeral Home in Story City is in charge of arrangements.
