THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Story County, Iowa, Thursday, December 8, 1932, page 1. "ESKEL FREDRICK SANNON - Eskel Fredrick Sannon, son of Martin E. Sannon and Gertie Troup, was born near Maxwell, Iowa, April 12, 1902, and passed away November 29, 1932, at the home of his mother, Mrs. Gertie Troup, at Mitchellville, Iowa. He was married to Zelma Dieter May 30, 1924. To this union two sons were born at Denver, Colo. He leaves to mourn his death, his wife and two sons, Robert, 7, and Dale 6, of Denver; his father, Martin E. Sannon, of Los Angeles, Calif.; his mother, Mrs. Gertie Troup; one brother, Morris, at home in Mitchellville; his grandmother, Mrs. Frances Baldwin, of Mingo. Two sisters and one brother preceded him in death. Besides these, there are uncles, aunts and cousins and a host of friends who will long remember Eskel and miss him from their presence. September 29, 1932, Eskel professed his faith in Christ, which was the culmination of several years of interest in the Christian life. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. Ivan La Favre, of Maxwell, at the Zion Evangelical church Wednesday, November 30. A male quartet furnished music. Interment was made in the Graham cemetery."
