Area Deaths

MRS. DOROTHY ANN OLSON

Mrs. Dorothy Ann Olson, age 49, of rural route 1, Jewell, died Tuesday afternoon at Mary Greeley Hospital in Ames. She had been in ill health the past eight years.

Born March 8, 1924 at Story City, her parents were Iver and Marie Egenes. She was married in 1964 to Emmett Olson.

Survivors include her husband, Emmett; one son, Bradley Olson of Dayton, one daughter, Kyle Ann Olson of Aiken, South Carolina; a step daughter, Mrs. Dean (Lois) Bibleer of Ames; one step son, Eugene Olson of Des Moines, three step grandchildren, her mother and one brother, John, both of Story City.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, August 17 from St. Paul's Lutheran Church, rural Jewell. Burial will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Soderstrum-Larson Funeral Home in Story City until time of services.
