DEATHS
Anna Alleman
Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Alleman, 95, were held at the Salem United Church of Christ in Alleman on Monday, July 16, 1973 at 2 p.m.
The Rev. Reuben Eversman, pastor of the church, was in charge of the services.
Her nephew, Kenneth Gfeller of Des Moines, was the soloist, singing "Beyond the Sunset" and "How Great Thou Art." Mrs. Lowell Accola was the organist and accompanied the soloist.
Pallbearers were Lowell Accola, Glen Accola, William Accola, Irving Alleman, Clarence Alleman and Milton Alleman.
Interment was in the Lincoln Cemetery near Alleman.
Anna Accola was born January 16, 1978 in Sauk City, Wis. and passed away at the Americana Nursing Home in Des Moines on Friday morning, July 13, 1973 at the age of 95 years.
She spent her childhood and youth in Wisconsin and was married to Albert Alleman in 1902 and moved to Slater where they farmed east of town many years and then moved to Slater where Mr. Alleman passed away in 1967. She continued to live in her home until almost two years ago when she moved to Des Moines.
Surviving Mrs. Alleman are three daughters, Mrs. Henry (Florence) Anderson, Mrs. Howard (Lovilla) Waters of Des Moines and Mrs. Irene Loring of Dallas, Texas; one grandson, DeWayne Anderson of Winston-Salem, N. C.; two great grandchildren, Lisa and DeWayne Anderson, Jr.; two sisters, Mrs. Louise Reible of Woodstock, Ill. and Mrs. Marie Gfeller of Slater; many nieces and nephews and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, her parents, four sisters and three brothers.
