Area Deaths

MRS. PERNA DAGGETT

Mrs. Perna Daggett, 79, of Slater died early Monday morning, July 9 at the Lutheran hone in Madrid.

Funeral services will be Thursday in Benson, Ariz. with burial there. Riis Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements locally.

Mrs. Daggett and her husband, Guy, who preceded her in death, lived in Ames where she worked at Friley Hall at the University for a number of years before they moved to Benson, Arizona about 15 years ago.

Survivors include son Ross Daggett of Slater, five grandchildren, six great grandchildren and three brothers.

She was preceded in death by her husband and a son, Leland who died in 1971. It was after that time that she moved to the home of her son, Ross where she resided until she moved into the Lutheran home due to ill health.

Mr. and Mrs. Ross Daggett left Tuesday for Benson, Arizona to attend the funeral services.
