Heart Attack Is Fatal Thurs. for Dwayne Myers

Clarence Dwayne Myers, 43, 1736 Fourth Street, Nevada, died suddenly at the Story County Hospital at 11:30 Thursday evening after suffering a heart attack.

Myers suffered the attack while alone fishing. He returned to town, was admitted to the hospital about 9 p.m. and a short time later apparently suffered a second heart attack.

Myers was born May 22, 1923 to William T. and Rebecca Myers of Clemons. He had lived nearly all his life in Nevada and was employed at the Atomic Energy Commission installation at Ames.

He was married to Miss Lois Ayers October 18, 1943 at the Memorial Lutheran Church in Nevada.

He was a veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Lois; his parents Mr and Mrs. William T. Myers of Ames; one son, Craig; one daughter, Mrs. Arden (Sally) Schoep of Nevada, six brothers: William of Nevada, Kenneth of Davenport, Ray and Richard of Ames, Don Myers, with the Air Force in Germany, and Bob Myers of Maxwell, and three sisters, Mrs. Bob (Mildred) Keigley of Ames; Mrs. Larry (Annabell) Avery of Ames; Mrs. Eddie (Sandra) Morrison of Ames.

Funeral services will at the Ryan Funeral Home Monday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. E. P. Windman officiating. Burial will be in the Nevada Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established.
