Services Tuesday At McCallsburg For Morgan Olson

Morgan Olson, 82, McCallsburg, died Friday at Mary Greeley Hospital in Ames after an illness of one month.

He was born in Illinois and had been a resident in the McCallsburg community for 72 years. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Presbyterian Church in McCallsburg.

Olson was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, one sister, his wife Byrde, who died in 1951, and two sons, Wayne in 1918 and Weston in 1955.

Surviving are three daughters: Mrs. Max Adams of Burbank, Calif., Mrs. Pat Patakotis of Denver, Colo.; and Miss Velma Olson of McCallsburg; two sons, Lt. Col. Wendell Olson of Beale Air Force Base, Calif. and Warren Olson of Ottumwa, 13 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Charles Sundean of Boone.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 21, at 2 p.m. in the McCallsburg Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Richard Miller will officiate. Burial will be in the McCallsburg Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Brouhard Funeral Home Monday and until services Tuesday.
