Rites Thursday For Isaac Oppedal At Story City Church

Services for Isaac G. Oppedal, 84, Story City Bethany Manor resident, will be held Thursday June 3 at 2 p.m. at the St. Petri Lutheran Church in Story City. Rev. Rhuben O. Aga will officiate.

Burial will be in the Lake Center Cemetery near Stanhope.

Oppedal was born March 26, 1882 at Stanhope, the son of Guttorm and Ingeborg Satre Oppedal. He was a retired farmer.

Survivors are five daughters: Ione (Mrs. Porter Vold), Ames, Helen (Mrs. Kenneth Bahle), Sutton's Bay, Mich.; Elaine (Mrs. Joe Cerne), Grundy Center, Phyllis Oppedal of Des Moines, Dorothy (Mrs. Irving Alquist), Des Moines; eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren; two sisters, Miss Bertha Oppedal of the Bethany Manor in Story City and Alice (Mrs. Louis Danielson), Story City; one brother, Embert Oppedal, Jewell. He was preceded in death by his wife, Petrine in 1963, by an infant son, Erling, and another son, Jerold.
