Services Saturday At Roland For Clarence Johnson

Services for Clarence (MMM) Johnson, Roland, 66, who died Wednesday, May 25 in Methodist Hospital, St. Louis Park, Minn. will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Salem Lutheran Church, Roland.

Rev. Everett Nelson, pastor of the church will officiate. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery at Marshalltown. Soderstrum Funeral Home of Roland is in charge of arrangements.

Johnson had recently retired from farming and at the time of his death, was vacationing in Minnesota and visiting friends there.

He was born December 1, 1899, the son of Charles and Anna Johnson. Survivors are his wife, Mabel; three daughters - Barbara (Mrs. Richard Stevenson) of Champaign, Ill.; Charlotte (Mrs. Charles Sorensen) of Nevada; Carolyn (Mrs. Donald Greive) of Toledo, O.; eleven grandchildren. A sister, Mrs. Bertha Quam of Roland and two brothers, Arthur Johnson of Melbourne and Merle Johnson of Omaha.

Johnson was a member of the Elks Lodge and Salem Lutheran Church of Roland.
