DEATHS

OBERT SANFORD WEEKS

Funeral services for Obert Sanford Weeks of 3502 Jefferson, Des Moines, was held on Friday, April 8 at 2 p.m. at the Fjeldberg Lutheran Church with the Rev. Alfred J. Bell of St. Johns Lutheran Church in Des Moines and the Rev. M. Harold Rye officiating.

Soloist was Mrs. Charles Thorsbakken. Organist was Mrs. Jacob G. Lee.

Pallbearers were Hubert Vespestad, Carl Harestad, Arnold Johansen, Walter Weeks, Jr., Denny Reinertson and Joe Ginn. Burial was at Slater Municipal Cemetery.

Obert Sanford Weeks, son of Ole and Stena Weeks was born March 19, 1909 at their home east of Kelley, Iowa, and died on Monday, April 4 at Broadlawns General Hospital in Des Moines at the age of 57 years.

He was baptized and confirmed at the Fjeldberg Lutheran Church in Huxley. He graduated from Kelley Consolidated School and Capital City Commercial College in Des Moines.

He was united in marriage to Mabel Freeland on May 17, 1930. To this union three children were born. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Des Moines.

Survivors include his wife, Mabel, one son, Glen of Bloomington, Minn., one daughter, Mrs. Raymond (Marlene) Renda of Pomona, Calif., eight grandchildren and one brother, John Weeks of Kelley. Also four sisters, Mrs. Tom (Lydia) Anfinson, Watson, Minn., Mrs. William H. (Cora) Hoffman, Radcliffe; Mrs. Violet Bauge, Huxley and Mrs. Nels (Ethel) Vespestad, Kelley.

He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Lois his parents, Ole and Stena Weeks, one sister, Marie and a brother, Walter.
