Mrs. Emma Sparrow, Zearing Woman, Dies

Mrs. Emma Sparrow, 70 year old Zearing woman, died Tuesday, March 1 at the Story County Hospital, Nevada after a two week illness.

Born June 26, 1895 at Conesville, Iowa, she was the daughter of Jack Abbott. She was a long-time resident of the Zearing community, and member of the Zearing EUB Church.

Survivors include her husband Earl and one daughter, Mrs. Carl (Celia) Thompson of Branson, Mo.; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren..

Preceding her in death were her parents, one daughter, Estella and a son, Estol.

Funeral services will be Thursday, March 3 at 2 p.m. from the EUB Church in Zearing. The Rev. Harry Buss will officiate with burial in the Zearing Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Brouhard Funeral Home, Zearing until time of services.
