Mac Allen, 59, Dies, Rites on Wednesday

Mac Allen, 59, Rural Route 2, Nevada, died Sunday, Feb. 27 at his home at 3:15 a.m.

Born January 22, 1907 in Zearing, Iowa, he was the son of Frank and Jessie Allen. A farmer, he lived his entire life in Story County.

He was married to Ina Beam on Dec. 22, 1926 at Whiting, Iowa.

He was a member of the Central Presbyterian Church and Nevada Masonic Lodge #99, A. F. & A. M.

Survivors include one son, Bill Allen of Ames; two daughters, Mrs. Loren Britson of Roland and Mrs. John Wakefield of Ames and eight grandchildren. Also three brothers, Philip and George Allen both of Nevada and John Allen of Long Beach, California; two sisters, Mrs. Alvin Nelson and Mrs. Homer Vilmont of Ames.

Funeral services will be held from the Central Presbyterian Church Wednesday, March 2 at 2 p.m. The Rev. Frank P. Hladky will officiate with burial in the Nevada Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Ryan Funeral Home until noon Wednesday.

A memorial fund has been established.
