Floyd Arthur Oswalt, son of the late James and Nellis Oswalt, was born at Collins, Iowa, January 18, 1897 and passed away at his farm home north of Collins Friday afternoon, January 28, 1966 at the age of 69 years and 10 days. His entire life was spent in this community.

He was preceded in death by a son, William Arthur Oswalt and a grandson, Darrell William Oswalt, son of William.

Survivors include his wife, Ada; two sons, Gale of Minneapolis, Minnesota and Russell of Colo; three daughters - Norene, Mrs. Harold Hale of Collins; Marguerite, Mrs. Richard Farren of Colo and one sister, Thelma, Mrs. Leonard Anderson of Kansas City, Mo., Fifteen grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Oswalt was a life long member of the Collins Christian Church, serving as Elder for many years. He was a member of the Freeland Carver Legion Post of Collins.

Besides his family, he leaves to mourn his passing a host of relatives and friends.
