DEATHS

Cora Irene Stone

Cora Irene Stone was born July 21, 1874 in Casey, Iowa, and passed away December 31, 1965 at Leola's Guest Home in Nevada, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sherman Stone, in 1931, and by two sons, Bealey Edward Stone, Richard L. Stone, one daughter, Goldie Ellen Stone, two stepchildren Mrs. Rosie Banks and Harry Stone. Also her parents, four sisters and two brothers.

She is survived by two sons, William M. Stone of Ames, Sherman Willard Stone of Maxwell, one daughter, Hazel Irene Cattell of Ames, and one sister, Mrs. Golda Shaver of Indianola, Iowa, 16 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren, besides a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at the Cooper Funeral Home in Maxwell, Iowa on January 4, 1966 at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Leslie Black of the Ontario Baptist Church in Ames officiating. Burial was in the Peoria Cemetery at Maxwell, Iowa. Music by Alice Gooden, The Old Rugged Cross and It Is Well With My Soul. Organist was Madeline Summit. Casket bearers were all grandsons.
