THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE Maxwell, Story County, Iowa, Thursday, December 25, 1901, page 7, column 3. Mr. Chas. Patterson, an elderly gentleman living north of Franklin schoolhouse, died suddenly Monday morning. He was feeling somewhat indisposed and laid down on the couch where he almost immediately expired. Mr. Patterson was the father of Patterson, the furniture man and the undertaker, of Collins." **Editorial note - Mr. Paterson and Chas. Patterson are probably the same man.
