AREA DEATHS

W.E. (BILL) POST

Former Nevada businessman W.E. (Bill) Post of 1222 Lincolnway, Nevada, died Sunday morning at the Oak Park Manor Nursing home at the age of 63.

A life-long Nevada resident, he had been ill for the past four years after suffering a stroke.

The former plumbing and heating dealer was born Nov. 19, 1909 at Nevada to parents Claude J. and Georgia L. Post. On Dec. 25, 1932, he married Flora M. Wise at Omaha, Nebr.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church, a veteran of World War II, member of the Masonic Lodge, Consistory, Za-Ga-Zig Shrine, Eastern Star and a retired member of the Nevada Fire Department.

Survivors include his mother, Georgia Post of Nevada, his wife Flora, a son Claude William Post of Buffalo Center, a daughter Mrs. Florance Post Gaard of Nevada, six grandchildren and four sisters: Mrs. Don (Zelma) Olson of Nevada, Mrs. Edwin (Jeannette) Getting of Arlington Heights, Ill., Mrs. Robert (Arline) Lyons of Mesa, Ariz., and Mrs. Joan Post Lehman of Nevada.

He was preceded in death by his father in 1961.

Funeral services will be held from the Ryan Funeral Home Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Marvin L. Hulse officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens.

A memorial fund has been established.
