DEATHS

Mrs. Linda Thompson

Mrs. Leonard (Linda) Thompson, 69, who died in an automobile accident March 13, was the daughter of John S. and Christana Peterson Carlson. She was born Jan. 9, 1904 at Sheldahl, Iowa and was baptized the confirmed in the Lutheran Church in Slater.

On March 26, 1934, she was married to Leonard Thompson. She was employed by the Ames Laundry and the Reuben Donnelley Corporation. Preceding her in death were her twin sister, Lillian and a sister, Mrs. Bert (Hazel) Estrem.

She leaves to mourn her passing one sister, Mrs. Ellen Fees from Des Moines and three brothers, August Carlson from Texas, Mony Carlson of Boone and Emmett Carlson of Sheldahl, a number of nieces and nephews and other relatives.

Double funeral services for Mr. and Mrs. Thompson were held Friday, March 16 at 1:30 p.m. at the Cooper Funeral Home in Maxwell with Rev. Ellsworth officiating.

At the service, two songs were sung "How Great Thou Art" and "Old Rugged Cross" by Lester Moore and organist Laura Pearson. Rev. Ellsworth read a poem entitled "God Knows Best" by Helen Steiner Rice.

Pallbearers were Harold Fees, Alvin Estrem, Orville Carlson, Donald Carlson, Stanley Reed and George Laurens.
