DEATHS

Leonard Jeffrey Thompson

Leonard Jeffrey Thompson, 67, long-time Maxwell resident, died in an automobile accident March 13, 1973.

A son of Ben and Severie Danielson Thompson, he was born May 17, 1905 near Roland, Iowa. He was baptized and confirmed in Bergen Lutheran Church at Roland. He was married to Linda Carlson on March 26, 1934.

He had farmed previous to being employed by Standard Oil Co. and Wilder Grain Co. Leonard and wife Linda had lived all their married life in the Maxwell community.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Sherman. He leaves to mourn his passing, one brother, August Thompson of Chico, Calif., and one sister, Mrs. Williams (Sylvia) Lock of Clinton, Wis.; a number of nieces and nephews, an aunt, Mrs. Martha Danielson Hereim of Carroll, Iowa.

Funeral services were held Friday, March 16 at 1:30 p.m. at Coopers Funeral Home in Maxwell with Rev. Ellsworth officiating.

Pallbearers were Gary Thompson, Jerry Thompson, Clarian Thompson, Dean Thompson, Ron Lock and William Lock, Jr.
