Obituaries

Frank Kimberley
June 9, 1918, to July 16, 1993

Frank W. Kimberley, 75, of Maxwell died of heart failure at Story County Hospital, Nevada.

He was born in Collins to Ike and Beatrice (Frey) Kimberley. He married Mary McClung on Nov. 16, 1938, in Bethany, Mo. He lived in Maxwell since 1945, having moved from Collins. He owned Kimberley's Eagle West Resort in Ontario, Canada, and retired in 1985. He was a charter member of the Izaak Walton League, justice of the peace in Washington Township in Polk County, and a member of the Northern Ontario Tourist Organization.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Kimberley of Maxwell, two sons Stephen Kimberley of Maxwell and Vermillion Bay, Ontario, and Mark Kimberley of Huxley; two daughters Karen Renda of Des Moines and Deborah Lindmark of Amarillo, Texas, two brothers, Melvin Kimberley and Harry Kimberley, both of Maxwell, four sisters, Helen Karpinski of Sussex, Wis., Ruth McGinnis of Marshalltown, Alice Kimberley of Lawrence, Kan., and Mary Ann Myers of Shellrock, and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, John E. Kimberley and Boyd W. Kimberley.

Funeral services were held Monday at the United Methodist Church in Maxwell with the Rev. Jonathan Chadwick officiating. Burial followed in Peoria Cemetery in rural Maxwell. Memorials may be made to the Peoria Cemetery. Cooper Funeral Home, Maxwell, handled arrangements.
