LARS S KALVIK

Funeral services for Lars S. Kalvik, 79, of Story City will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 19, in the Bethel Lutheran Church in Story City. Rev. A. J. Bringle will officiate and burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery at Jewell.

Kalvik, born Oct. 31, 1893, near Stavanger, Norway, died at his home in Story City early Thursday morning.

He came to the United States in 1912 and on March 6, 1917, married Carrie Westre. They lived in the Ellsworth and Jewell communities, with the exception of a few years spent in Chicago, until 1950 when they moved to Story City.

His wife Carrie, two brothers, Osmund of Story City and Talius in Norway, and a sister Amborg Hallin in Norway, survive.

Preceding were his parents, Osmund and Serina Kalvik.

Friends and relatives may call at the Soderstrum-Larson Funeral Home in Story City from Sunday until time of the services.
