OBITUARY OF NELS JACOBSON.

Had Long Been a Resident of Story County

Story City, Jan. 11--Nels Jacobson was born in Kvindherd, Norway, June 24, 1862 and died at his home early Thursday morning, December 22, 1921 at the age of 59 years, 5 months and 28 days.

He came to America in 1868 with his parents, brothers and sisters. They settled in Clinton county, Iowa where they lived for 5 years. In 1873 they moved to Story county living here about 11 years. In 1884 he moved to Woodbury county where he lived for 10 years. He was united in marriage July 8, 1888 to Martha Hanson. To this union was born six children. In 1895 he moved back to Story county where he has resided ever since.

He was brought up in the Christian faith confirmed by Rev. Amlund, and remained a true believer in this faith until his end. He leaves to mourn his loss and sudden departure his wife, three sons and three daughters, namely, Jacob, John and Neal, Mabel, Anna and Nettie all of whom were present at the time of his death and who feel the great loss of a loving husband and father. We all live with the pleasant memory of one who has always lived in clea-----, been a good neighbor, honest and trustworthy --------- and ---------- willing to help ------------- --- all. He will be greatly missed by his loved ones.

He also leaves to mourn his loss two brothers Thos. Eness and J. C. Jacobson, both of Story City.

Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 26 at the home and at the south St. Petri church conducted by Rev. Heimark.

The remains were laid to rest in the family lot at the south St. Petri cemetery. A large number of relatives and friends were present to pay their last respect to their departed friend.
