Since her stroke she had been cared for by Miss Rose John, who has stayed at the home during that time. Mary C. Sargent was born in Ohio, February 17, 1856, and died at her home in Maxwell, Iowa, February 27, 1935, at the age of 79 years and 10 days. She was united in marriage to Philip Olinger at Greenfield, Ind., December 25, 1871. Following their marriage they established their home in Rushville, Ind. They frequently visited relatives in Iowa and moved to Maxwell in 1911. Mr. Olinger died in January, 1922. Mrs. Mary Brown, of San Francisco, Calif., a niece, and William E. Sargent, of Indianapolis, Ind., a nephew, survive her. The latter lived in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Olinger as a member of the family for a number of years. Mrs. Olinger was a member of the Presbyterian church and active in the affairs of the church up to the time of her illness. Funeral services were held in the Presbyterian church Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with Rev. B. H. Guthrie, pastor of the church, in charge. A male quartet, composed of Ross Olinger, Claire Olinger, Clark John and Dale John, sang "The Old Rugged Cross," "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere" and "Good Night," accompanied at the piano by Mrs. W. M. Trotter. The pall bearers were L. G. Scott, J. B. Scott, Forest Scott, Paul Olinger, Edwin Olinger and V. O. Ray. Interment was in the Maxwell cemetery by the side of her husband. Out of town relatives and friends in attendance at the funeral were: W. E. Sargent, of Indianapolis, Ind.; John J. John, of Burt; Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Cooper, of Color, and Chas. Webb, of Cambridge. Card of Thanks - I wish to thank all who assisted in any way during the illness and following the death of my aunt, Mrs. Mary Olinger. Especially do I wish to thank the singers, the pianist, the minister in charge of the funeral, and those who provided the beautiful floral tributes. William E. Sargent."
