Area Deaths

HANS T OAKLAND

Hans T. Oakland of Story City, 89 died at Bethany Manor early Monday morning He had been a resident of the Manor for three years.

Born on Sept. 22, 1883 at Okland, Balestrand, Norway, he came to the United States in 1900.

On Jan. 5, 1912 he married Marie Madson, who preceded him in death on Oct. 15, 1964. They farmed northwest of Radcliffe until 1958 when they moved to Story City.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Story City with Rev. C. A. Gisselquist officiating. Burial will be in the cemetery at Radcliffe.

Surviving are five sons Henry of Story City, Alfred of Nevada, Martin of Alden, Richard of Jewell and Amos of Radcliffe, four daughters Mrs. Sophie Neese, Jewell, Mrs. Mae Anderson of Webster City, Mrs. Amy Heitritter of Des Moines, Mrs. Esther Kline, Lansing, Ill., 22 grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Besides the wife, one son, his parents Thore and Anna Hansen, two grandchildren, five sisters and three brothers preceded him in death.

Soderstrum-Larson Funeral Home Story City is in charge of funeral arrangements.
