AREA DEATHS

LESTER J McMULLEN

Sp E6 Lester J. McMullen, 34, of Evansdale, Iowa died Sunday morning in Germany as the result of an auto accident. He was formerly of Colo.

Born in Princeton, Mo. on June 11, 1938, his parents are LaVern and Katherine Smith McMullen. He grew up in the Colo and Nevada areas.

During his army career, he was awarded many medals.

Survivors include his wife Lola, two sons, Lester Jr. and Kelly and a daughter, Leslie, all at home, his parents Mr. and Mrs. LaVern McMullen of Colo; two brothers, Sammie of Zearing and Bennie of Cedar Rapids, and three sisters, Mrs. Delbert Ringgenberg of Center Point and Mrs. Joe McGee and Mrs. Allen Stole, both of Colo.

Funeral services are pending at the Chapel of Memories West Funeral Home in Waterloo.
