LYLE EUGENE BANKS

Lyle Eugene Banks, 32, died of a heart attack in Oskaloosa Tuesday morning about 1:30 a.m.

Born in Story County on July 8, 1940, he lived most of his life in this area. He is survived by his wife, Charlene, three sons, Clayton, Charlie and Shawn, all living at home, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harley Banks of Nevada, two sisters, Mrs. Russell (Joan) Mayfield of Maxwell and Mrs. Earl (Marilyn) Hennick of Ames, five brothers, Darrold of Fernald, Kenneth, Harley, Ronald and Gary of Nevada.

He was preceded in death by one son, James, and daughter Doneta.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 12, at the Powles Funeral Home, 302 1st Ave East, Oskaloosa. Graveside service will be at Woodland Cemetery at Iowa Center at 2 p.m.
