DEATHS

Wrex R Clawson

Funeral services for Wrex R. Clawson, 75, were held from the Cambridge United Methodist Church on Friday, Sept. 8, at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Robert Gamble officiating.

Clawson had died unexpectedly on Wednesday, Sept. 6.

Music was furnished by Mrs. Doris DeHoet at the organ.

The flowers were in charge of Clara Edwards and Marjorie Scott.

Casket bearers were George Edwards, John Scott, Leland Gardner, C. J. Sampers, Kermit Griffith and George Erickson.

Burial was in the Cambridge Cemetery.

Wrex R. Clawson, son of George and Myrtle Clawson, was born Aug. 17, 1897 at Grimes, Iowa. He was married to Ethel Jones in 1920 at Cambridge. To this union three sons and one daughter were born.

He spent his life in the Cambridge area and farmed a number of years. He was a partner in the Baker-Clawson Hog Buying until his retirement six years ago.

Preceding him were his parents, one brother, Ross and one son, Ross.

Survivors are his wife Ethel, two sons, James of Cambridge and Robert G. of Hopkins, Minn., one daughter, Marjorie, Mrs. Art Hall, of Elkhart, one sister, Mrs. John Harker of Ames, one step brother, Kenneth Wilson of Cambridge, one step sister, Mrs. Ethel Youngclass of Webster City, 11 grandchildren an two great grandchildren.
