DEATHS

Wilhelm Mayer

Funeral services for Wilhelm M. Mayer, 79, of Story City were held at Soderstrum-Larson Funeral Home, Story City, at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1. The Rev. Rhuben O. Aga, pastor of St. Petri Lutheran Church officiated.

Mrs. Robert Hermanson soloist, sang "In Heavenly Love Abiding" and "Through the Love of God the Father" with Mrs. Joel Jacobson accompanying.

Pallbearers were Mark Frette, Glen Van Sickle, Earl Christian, Melbourne Henderson, William Peterson and Leonard Johnson.

Burial was in the Story City Municipal Cemetery.

Mr. Mayer was born July 19, 1893 in Marshalltown and died at his home on Aug. 30th.

Survivors include a daughter Mrs. LaVerne Frette; a son Robert Holland of Story City, a sister Mrs. Lillian Johnson, Carlsbad, N. Mex.; one grandson and three great grandchildren.

Five brothers and two sisters and one grandson preceded him in death.
