Funeral rites Tuesday for Mrs. Tygo Caltvedt

Funeral services for Mrs. Tygo G. Caltvedt, former resident of McCallsburg will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the Bethany Manor, Story City, and at 2 p.m. in the Bethany Lutheran Church, McCallsburg. Rev. M. C. Hagedorn and Rev. Perry Heller will officiate. Interment will be in the Warren Township Cemetery, McCallsburg.

Mrs. Caltvedt, who was born in 1885 in Norway, came to the United States in 1907. She was a member of the Bethany Lutheran Church; charter member of the A.L.C.W.; member of the American Legion Auxiliary and a Gold Star Mother. She has been a resident of Bethany Manor for the past two years.

Mrs. Caltvedt died Saturday morning in the Story City Memorial Hospital following surgery.

Survivors include eight children: Mrs. Roy Severson of Jewell, Mrs. Jimmie Stone, Nevada, Mrs. Harold Elliott, Arlington, Texas, Mrs. Albert Ausdal of Marshalltown, Leonard Caltvedt of McKinney, Texas, John Caltvedt of McCallsburg, Selmar Caltvedt of Gary, Ind. and George Caltvedt of Waterloo; one sister, Mrs. Rogness of Lake Mills; 20 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Tygo Caltved; three sons, Donald, Teddie and Sigvert, and one daughter.

Friends by call at Brouhard Funeral Home in Zearing until time of services.
