THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Iowa, Thursday, October 24, 1957, page 4, column 3. "IVAN CLAIR KOPF - Funeral services for Ivan C. Kopf, were held at the Cooper Funeral Home, Oct. 15, 1957, with Rev. Geo. Yetter officiating. Ivan Clair Kopf, son of Andrew M. and Elizabeth Ann Kopf, was born at Farrar, Polk County, Iowa, March 12, 1899. He attended Maxwell High School and then farmed near Farrar until 1925. He moved to Farmington, Iowa, where he lived until 1937. He went to McCausland in 1937. Mr. Kopf was an active member of Masonic bodies. He joined the Blue Lodge at Maxwell, Ia., in 1920 and was Past Master of the Blue Lodge at Farmington, Ia. At the time of his passing he was a member of the Zarephath Consistory Mehasson Grotto and Kaaba Shrine of Davenport and the Low Moor Eastern Star Chapter at Low Moor, Ia., as well as being an officer in the DeWitt Masonic Lodge. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by a brother, Howard E. Kopf of Davenport, a sister, Mary Goebel and a nephew, Geo. Goebel of Des Moines. Music was furnished by Madeline Summitt. The floral offerings were cared for by Kathryn Law and Louise Baldwin. Casket Bearers were Roy Eide, C. H. Norton, John Norton, Claude Baldwin, Ralph Otto, Clyde Martin, Bela Norton and Don Geddes. Interment was in Peoria Cemetery. Graveside services by Herald Lodge No. 455, A. F. and A. M."
